Summer Camp
Summer Camp at BEC emphasizes the importance of teaching students to maximize the potential of each horse the student rides, whether it’s a school horse or a show horse. The program also introduces the student to many concepts if they were to choose a life as a professional equestrian. Breeding, imprinting, land management, first aid and nutrition allow a student to develop an “eye” that enhances their overall ability to communicate with horses.
Each student takes 2 riding lessons daily – one in the morning and one in the afternoon and participates in non-riding horse-related activities. The program also includes swimming, water-skiing, hiking and other outdoor activities. Our goal is to teach the student that an athletic lifestyle in general leads to a more balanced, capable rider.
Another component of the program teaches sustainable living. Students choose riding because of their love for animals and the outdoors. The price of the overnight camp includes room and board.
Overnight Camp runs Monday through Saturday. The cost for the camp, which includes room and board is $1200 per student.
