February 3, 2006 BOSTON EQUESTRIAN CENTER ENTERS
THE BREEDING INDUSTRY CREATING A LINE OF HORSES SPONSORED BY ST. GEORGE
TACK OXFORD, MA (February 3, 2006)--Doron
5, a regular on the grand prix circuit and Beezie Madden's
Judgement, winner of the 1 Million CN International announce the birth
of their colt, Babylon St.
George. His impeccable genes include Cor de la Bryere from his
dam and Consul from his sire. The embryonic transfer, courtesy of
Peterson Smith Equine, was completed at the end of the WEF circuit
2005. Pre and post natal care was handled by Dr. Laura Carmel, Tufts
Veterinary Hospital.
Jamal Jadidi, owner of Boston Equestrian and St. George Tack took
a week off from a busy Florida circuit to oversee the colt's first
week. "I never saw myself getting into the breeding game," Jamal confesses.
"I spend so much of my time competing and running my business it became
difficult to find a quiet month for travel to Europe." The strength
of the Euro and the strength of the American riders also became a
factor for Jamal's foray into breeding. "I don't think the Europeans
expected the Americans to walk away with the gold in Athens and like
any patriot, I don't think they want it to happen again. It makes
the sport more interesting knowing that some horses are not for sale
to you and it forces you to look into the future."
Asking what's next for a man with such a busy schedule might be a
loaded question. "I'm quite content to manage a few small businesses
successfully and not put too many eggs in one basket. With the advent
of embryonic transfer and it's proximity to many grand prix shows
I think you'll find a lot of riders creating their own grand prix
showjumpers." The plan for Boston Equestrian is 2 more foals in the
next 2 years with the occasional trip to Europe just to see what's
around. Jamal gives a hearty laugh and admits, "I know I'll be speaking
French on the next trip, no one's feeling threatened by them right
now."
Babylon St. George will be spending the next 2 years enjoying the
ambiance and imprinting available at Boston Equestrian. Jamal hopes
that other showjumpers are experiencing the same success with their
new foals. MEDIA CONTACT: Jeannine Wilkins,
